OOTD | Shopping

Ok, so this wasn't today's outfit, it was Wednesdays shopping outfit; so this should be "WOOTD".

I spent my day in the Bullring in Birmingham shopping and then my lovely boyfriend treated me to a beautiful meal at Miller & Carter. If like me your a massive foody and love a good steak and a dessert, oh and a cheeky cocktail; then i highly recommend you try Miller & Carter!

Black Studded Collar Shirt: Primark
Black Leather Look Jeans: Oasis
Black Patent and Animal Print Shoes: JustCavalli by Roberto Cavalli

I actually didn't end up wearing these necklaces, when trying on clothes in the mirror in Zara; i decided i didn't like them, so took them off and buttoned the shirt to the top instead.

CAUTION! The next few photos contain naughty content that may have certain readers dribbling!
FOOD PORN! CALORIFIC HEAVEN!

I'm not entirely sure why i look so moody in the above photo! I think i was just doing what i do best - people watching! Clearly very deep in thought about somebody that i was watching ha! But as i think I've said before i like to call it being 'interested' rather than nosey ;)!

Have a lovely weekend my beautys!

Thanks for reading! Love Chlo xo

VIDEO | Confessions of a Shopaholic

Hi Everyone! I recently had a bit of a splurge and can't wait to share all my buys with you all! As i have so much to share and show you guys, i'm going to do my first video, eekk!

I've recently been trying to save money, but to me saving money means buying clothes from Primark, Asda, Tesco etc instead of my usual favourite shops, such as Zara and River Island. And as it had been a while since i bought from my favourite shops, i thought i had earned myself a splurge! That's how it works right?! ;) You'd totes do the same?!

Anyway, i'm working all weekend so i will film and post my video next week - keep a look out for it! There may be a few spring/summer buys you'd like to splurge on yourself!

Check back soon, lots of love Chlo xo

Food | A second on the lips = a lifetime on the hips

"A second on the lips, forever on the hips"
Or not...

I am the Queen when it comes to all things chocolatey, all things gooey and doughy - basically anything that oozes a calorific number big enough to make the likes of Victoria Beckham faint!

However I've been trying really hard lately to eat better to get in better shape for the summer - i refuse to look how i did in my holiday photos last year! This year i want to be that cute couple on the beach taking pics in their swimwear or the girl posing on the sunbed with not even one roll in sight! But the thought of giving up all things naughty makes me want to physically cry! So I've been on the hunt for healthy alternatives of naughty desserts; I've been trying lots of different recipes and ideas, and am going to share them with you guys as i go along.
So this week i made 'Flourless Pancakes' i got this idea from one of the fitness pages i follow on instagram - i follow lots of food and fitness pages; they are great for inspiration and recipes - they always manage to make healthy food look deliciously yummy! - Something i never thought was possible!
Anyway with out further a do lets bake! Go!...

All you need is one banana and two eggs - chop them up and put them into a bowl. I decided to put mine into a large measuring jug; as once the mix is ready, its really easy to pour out of the jug and into your frying pan.

Then using a potato masher, mash the banana down and mix in the eggs - you have to mash rather hardly to get all the banana all squishy. You should end up with a thick mix that looks like normal pancake mix. Don't worry if you have lots of lumps, i don't think its possible to get rid of them all - its just small pieces of banana.

Next put your pan on a medium heat and add a little oil. I only ever use the Olive Oil or Sunflower Oil 1 cal spray by Fry-light when cooking anything that needs oil. I just sprayed a couple of sprays of this fry light into the pan and added my mixture.

Pour your mixture into the pan and cook for a few mins on each side. As you can see my first attempt was a little on the brown side but was still so yummy! And don't worry if you burn your first one too - the first attempt is just a learning curve, your second one will be perfect ;)

Add whatever toppings you like - i wanted to go for a healthy option of peanut butter and strawberries; but had no peanut butter so had to opt for Nutella instead. How awful that was (huge grin on my face)!! I adore Nutella! And there you have it a completely guilt free - (well depending what you top your flourless pancakes with) recipe for pancakes! These literally take minutes and taste amazing! I couldn't really taste the banana in the pancake once it was cooked - maybe you could experiment and add another banana for more flavour. Next time i make them i'm going to add a little vanilla essence to the mixture, in hope to make them a little more moist and tastier! Depending on the size of your pancakes, the mix makes about 3 - 5 servings. Enjoy!!

Leave me a comment if you wish. Let me know if you've tried anything similar or if your going to give this recipe a go,
Lots of love as always, Chlo xo

Everyday Makeup Routine

My everyday makeup routine; this has hardly changed in months - i'm so happy with all these products that i use, they create the perfect matte, long lasting finish that i desire. Just so you know my skin type is oily/combination so i always go for the matte look as oppose to the dewy finish. Here are the products that i use:

1. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer - I never used Primer up until last year and omg what was i doing before?! If you have oily skin like me this product is a must to keep your makeup in place all day.

2. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - Perfect concealer at an affordable price. I wear this concealer in a shade 2. It covers blemishes and brightens under the eyes perfectly.

3. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation - Thick, creamy, flawless coverage that lasts all day. Only thing i would say is i sometimes have a few days off from this foundation to allow my skin to breath, as i fear that this is such a thick and heavy foundation it may clog my pores.

4.  Neutrogena Shine Control Powder - This powder isn't available in the UK that i know of - i bought mine off amazon. I use this powder to set my face makeup - it instantly controls shine, but i'm not going to lie; i have never gone a full day without touching up once or twice to get rid of oilyness. I'm yet to find a powder that controls shine all day - if you can recommend one, please comment below - I've tried endless powders!

5. L'Oreal Colour Riche Eye-shadow Quad - I use this eye shadow palette in shades Nude Lingerie. I love this eye shadow quad, the colours are so beautiful! It's the perfect substitution for the Naked palette, if your running tight on money.

6. L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess Mascara - I've used this mascara for ages now, i love the L'Oreal mascaras they always do exactly what they say. There's nothing worse than buying a mascara that says its going to create volume, extend your lashes or curl your lashes and actually it does absolutely nothing! However my favourite mascara is Dior's Diorshow, but when on a budget L'oreal's mascaras are a great substitute.

7. L'Oreal Super Liner Brow Artist Pencil - This pencil creates a soft brushed look and is something i always go back to. I think its the best drugstore eye brow pencil i have tried. However i am on the look out for something new to try. I'm thinking of trying 'Benefit's Gimme Brow' or 'Anastasia Beverlery Hills Brow Wiz'.

8. Nars Copacabana Illuminator - The perfect Illuminator for a subtle glow, i love the shade 'copacabana' but am yet to try any of the others. This shade gives a gorgeous glow without being to overpowering or creating too much of a dewy texture.

9. LOOK Make Me Blush Blusher - This is like the cheapest blush ever and i love it so much! It's such a delicate colour and sits on top of my Nars Illuminator perfectly - they're great when applied together.

10. Philosophy's Divine Colour Satin-finish Illuminating Powder - I bought this powder from Tk Maxx for £1.99, absolute bargain! I use this powder as a highlighter, i finish my makeup by using it to highlight my upper cheekbones, sides of my temple and down my nose.

As always leave me a comment, especially if you have any suggestions for an amazing powder that controls shine all day!

Chloe's Closet

Hi Everyone, I've been such an awful blogger lately,  I've been so busy with work that i haven't had anytime to blog! I like to blog near enough everyday as i have so much to share with you guys. Anyway I've had a little refurb on my blog now and am ready to throw myself back in to it! I've also been planning some videos i'd like to share with you all, so keep an eye out for them. I also joined Pinterest - i'm not sure how i feel about it yet, i find it a little confusing but i just love being nosey and looking at everybody's pictures. Well actually i like to call it being 'interested' rather than nosey ;) ! Anyway give me a follow on there, the link to my page is in my sidebar. So this is what my entire weekend looked like...

What about yours, what did you get up to? Hopefully it was a little more interesting than mine. Leave me a comment, let me know if you prefer my new blog look or any tips to improve it - i want it to be beautifully pretty for you guys to look at

BOTW | Bargains/Buys Of The Week ♥

Here are my Beauty & Fashion buys of the week and this week they were total bargains!

Fashion Buys

I love this yellow polyester t-shirt, its so Spring! (if that even makes sense) but it is - yellow is the perfect colour for spring and i love how happy and fresh yellow is. I liked this t-shirt because it's perfect for a jeans and sandals going for lunch with friends or going shopping look.
George by Asda - £8

There are so many white shirts in all the shops at the moment but i loved this one not only because it was so cheap but because i feel you can create more than one look with it thanks to the gold detail. In the day you could team it with denim jeans and tanned ankle boots, or in the evening you could team it with black jeans, red or black heels and accessorize with a gold statement necklace and oversized clutch - two or more looks for a tena? Bargain!
George by Asda - £10

Cute little detailed daisy top. I wore this the other day with my jeans and converse to go out for a meal with my family. It was a lovely sunny day so i didn't need a jacket, making this outfit the perfect little summer look. I adore the neckline on this top and i don't think it would look misplaced in Topshop or Urban Outfitters or any other shop alike. I love getting a fashion look for less, get yours...
George by Asda - £8

Excuse me in the background of this photo - awful photography skills of mine!

Ok so these weren't really a bargain but they were the very last pair in the shop in a size 5 - and to me that means it was meant to be; i was like Cinderella with the glass slipper! I've looked at this style of shoe for a while now and couldn't decide whether they were for me or not, but when i tried these on in the store i fell in love! I can't wait to pair them with some washed out denim ankle grazer jeans - i'll post photos soon!
River Island - £40

Beauty Buys

1. Schwarzkopf got2b Beach Matt Texturizing Salt Spray. This was a re-buy, i bought this product last year, i like to spritz it through my hair after curling for a beach waves look. I love messy textured hair, you will hardly ever see me with sleek tidy hair - it just doesn't suit me. So this product is perfect for getting that messy look. But be careful not to spray it too close or too much as it can create a wet look, i also don't spray it on my roots or near the top of my head to prevent getting a greasy or wet look.
 Superdrug £3

2. Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser. So i didn't realise i was coming close to the end of my Liz Earle cleanser, and whilst tight on money and the time i'll have to wait for it to be delivered, i decided to go out to my local drugstore in search of a temporary replacement. I'd never tried Biore products before but the assistant in the shop said their products were great for people with blemished prone skin. I'm still struggling with acne prone skin so i need something that's medically proven to help fight against spots. I don't feel i have used this product enough yet to be able to review the effectiveness of this product; i may do a review on the Biore products when i have.
Boots - £4.99

3. Lush's Bubblegum Lip Scrub. I think possibly the most reviewed and talked about lip scrub in the blogging world, so i wont ramble on too much about it. What i will say is, i had never considered buying a lip scrub before as my lips never really got dry even through the winter. However i then got hit with this awful cold a few weeks back which left me with the most horrible dry and flaky lips and still now they aren't completely back to normal. No matter how much Vaseline i used or Blistex or Carmex the horrible dryness just wouldn't budge! So i decided i needed to invest in this famous lip scrub - I've only used it once so far but have noticed a difference in the softness of my lips and the smell and taste is just incredible! I had to stop myself from literally getting a scoop on my finger and eating it!

Thanks for reading, hope you got some bargains this week!
